Man...I don't even know where to begin about the last week. It's been crazy to say the least, and definitely a time for memories made. We've seen this place go from a blank canvas with dirt walls to something more than any of us could have imagined. We're so fortunate to have all of the friends and family that have come together to make this shop a success before it even opens. Okay, enough of the sentimentality, here's what's going on:
We had our wall painted by some of the most talented dudes around. They did a super amazing job, and it really makes the shop what it should be. A million thanks go out to Ben (Chase) Thompson, and Taylor.
Got in our fixtures and are working on installing all that.
T.V. and stereo system are all hooked up and ready to show all your favorite football games! Haha, just kidding Parris.
Putting up shelves is fun, just ask Deutsch and Wes! If anyone needs shelf installation, these are your guys. Give them a call and I'm sure they'd be stoked to help you out.
That's pretty much it for now.

A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to get to hang out with Tony from Never Summer and tour their factory. I came ready with camera in hand, but was quickly shot down and told that most things in the factory are a trade secret, and they don't really allow pictures. Bummer. But I did get one picture of the office where they keep one of the first snowboards on the wall. We've come a long way since then. We were shown pretty much everything from the wood they use for their snowboards and longboards, how they form and press the wood, the special (secret) tricks they use to make such a rad ride, all the way to where and how they sand the boards down. Everything from start to finish. It was awesome to see it all. My personal favorite part was the end of the tour where we got to see the new boards for the new season. This year they're breaking out the metal...the graphic on the Heritage is a big red mastodon (or mammoth). I'm gonna go with mastodon, as anyone who knows me knows that I have an affinity for all things mastodon...and sasquatch. Sometimes I wish I was around during the neanderthal era.
There's been a ton of progress within the shop so far. In the past couple of weeks it's gone from something we just pictured in our heads to almost complete...you can finally see it coming together! Our sign is hung above the clock tower, and it looks pretty rad when it's lit up at night. All the doors have been hung inside, and our tiny offchen (office/kitchen) is almost complete - even though it remains to be seen how 3 dudes are gonna fit in there at one time. Paint is on the walls, the floor has been sealed, and the lights are being hung.
These are pictures of the sign, back stock room, main wall, and the dressing room.

We haven't died, just been super busy. The shop is coming along at a fast pace - so far they've built all the walls, installed electric, and last Friday they put up our sign!!! Next up is to seal the concrete floors and paint the walls. Then it's our turn. In a couple weeks, we'll be headed up to Conifer to my Dad's house to build the fixtures for the shoe wall. I think it's a secret as to what they'll look like, but you better believe they'll be sick once they're done....all I can say is that they will be made of something that comes from the earth. We will have pictures of all the new shop work up soon. Until next time...
